Sam's Hay rake...

in the snow. The extra is the Church on the hill before you turn to come up on our ridge. Now it sits empty. I sure wish the traveling preacher still came around to all the little wooden churches in these hills. I think the country needs such things.
I went to Edna's and we put up her tree and some house decorations. It was a pleasant day as she had a story about each ornament. Old as most were they were all beautiful and I could tell each meant the world to her. She also had a horseshoe wrapped in white paper with red wide ribbon spun around it. She said her pa had it and gave it to her as a very small child for good luck and she puts it over her bedroom door every year at Christmas. She said last year was the only Christmas she remembered not putting it out. You better believe I hung it carefully over that door today. We sure need a little luck in 2021.
Then the dreaded task of packing up and winterizing the house again (as we did it a week ago) to head to MD early in the morning. We took a buggy ride to check the road conditions. Hubby put the chains on the tires so we should be ok. WEE!!!
