The Ellesmere angel

This morning I wrapped presents.  It always takes a lot longer than I anticipate!

This afternoon I went to Ellesmere and hand delivered some Christmas cards.  I had a chat with a couple of friends, it was good to catch up with them.

I then went for a walk by the Mere where I saw a young heron perched on a branch near the water's edge (extra photo).

My blip is of the angel outside St. Mary's Church.  It was made by Fizzgigs, the local community arts group and is 12 feet high with a wingspan of 18 feet and made of fabric over a steel frame. It's beautifully imposing especially after sunset when it's illuminated.
