More studies in mud.

More high quality estuarine mud. Two more in extras with one showing a post from the long gone wooden pier.

My question is why?  Why does it end up looking like rice paddy fields in mountain valleys in Asia?  I know my followers include physicists and a geographer. Does anyone have any answers?
