Great Tit

Today’s picture, taken through the kitchen window, because there was no way I was going outside, is of a Great Tit.
 
Today is the Winter Solstice and also an exciting day if you are interested in the stars and planets. Jupiter and Saturn are aligned, or “merged” tonight so I am hoping that the rain stops and the clouds disappear so that I can see it. It is a rare event and will not happen again in my lifetime or yours unless you are very young!
 
The temperature today was eleven Celsius at GMT noon; rain, rain and more rain.
