Poppy

We went out for a walk this morning and were very surprised to see this poppy in full bloom in a neighbour’s garden. I didn’t see it yesterday so I guess it opened overnight; it seems the wrong time of the year and I guess illustrates how mild it has been so far at the end of the year. Later we saw snowdrops out and again that seems early for Edinburgh.
