Twinkle Twinkle

Lovely to have coffee with Sara first thing this morning - good to catch up and to collect the home-made mincemeat and pastry she's made for our friends for Christmas Day! From then on the morning was a bit manic, speedily doing as much as possible on our 1 morning without kids!
After school pickup we went to wave at Sole, she was waiting for us as we drove down the lane! I wonder what we'll say about these times when she's free again and we can enjoy coffees and conversation together.
We'd packed the kids a car picnic as we were tootling here there and everywhere, getting stuff for the Christmas Day meal, dropping things off to places etc...it was nice to come home and flop for an hour! Then early evening we met Claire and walked up to Dalt Vila to see the conjunction of Saturn and Jupiter - mind-blowing to think about the significance, Asha couldn't get over it.
Caña Cub tonight and Stephen and Todd treated Asha and Nate to some flashy light toys from one of the sellers on the streets - Asha a flashing ring and Nate some flashing glasses - both were delighted.

Today I'm grateful for;
1) The smell of coffee. I walked past a little Spanish bar this morning and that gorgeous smell of strong sweet coffee brought me joy! As did the tables of elderly folks sitting drinking and nattering.
2) Witnessing the wonder of the 'star of Bethlehem'.
3) Playing in the dark, deserted park with Asha and Nate. So much fun.
