Pushbike in the Park

First thing this morning I collected the turkey from the butchers.  I got back home just in time to take delivery of 2 boxes of vegetables from the greengrocer.  This afternoon I collected our "click and collect" order from the supermarket.  We now have a house full of food - and no visitors allowed over Christmas.  Our food stocks should last us well into the post-Brexit period (probably a good thing).

More restrictions thoughout the country announced this afternoon to try and slow the spread of the new variants of coronavirus. Hundreds of lorry drivers stuck near Dover waiting for their Covid-tests to allow them into France, now that the French have agreed to reopen the border (and it seems likely that many of them will not get home for Christmas).

The world is a strange and difficult place at the moment, but at least we can continue to enjoy whatever is still available - like going for a walk in the park (or, if you wish pushing your bike through the park).
