On the fence, ever present

There are at least four robins hanging about the garden  and some of them are now adept at using the bird feeders. They've copied the other birds and can now perch on the metal base for long enough to grab a seed.

Clever little birds. they always look at me and seldom fly away in fear. When I lived in London I often walked in the grounds of Kenwood House on the edge of Hampstead Heath. There I managed to get a robin to eat from my hand, but I think it had been trained by other people. I think it is best if they stay wild here.
