Heiligabend

Is what we call Xmas Eve here.  The supermarkets are open - for the foolhardy - but only until 1 or 2 pm, then Germany shuts its doors until Monday.

And being a hardy fool I was up and away at just before 7 this morning.  I bought a few bits and pieces from the local Netto and managed to escape relatively unscathed.  Glad I didn't need to buy veg - there was none.  Apart from potatoes.

I plan on doing very little for the next 4 days.  I will be in the kitchen though.  I have proper bacon, so there will be bacon rolls for breakfast.  And other assorted good things will be cooked.
