Christmas Eve Morning

Beautiful start to the day.

Had a nice visit from our friend who I mentioned yesterday, had had Covid.
He certainly looked well. ( mask on and kept our distance in the garden of course)

More time in the kitchen. Made another batch of mince pies, and more preparation for tonight’s meal.
Our main course tonight is fillet steak in a sherry, peppercorn and cream sauce, with Gratin. Dauphinois. A very old recipe dates back to the 1980s and one of our favourites.

I saw a lovely old lady on the news today. Celebrating her 100th birthday.
When asked what was the secret of her long life, she replied,
“ Just keep breathing “. That’s Yorkshire humour for you!

Just watching clips from the Christmas Morecambe and Wise shows.
Just can’t stop laughing! They don’t make shows like that anymore.
