Christmas Cava

Happy Christmas wonderful blippers! I hope you've all had a peaceful day with moments of joy throughout.
Our day began with stockings and gifts - there were a lot of delighted squeals from the kids! We loved being part of church's livestream too.
Pretty soon I was cooking 40 chicken breasts and slow cooking the red cabbage dish...and people began turning up to drop off food and gravy and dish up. Our friends all loved their dinner and gifts, and come the time for us to stop delivering Christmas bags, we took our own takeout dishes down to the rocky beach and enjoyed the same meal and a glass of wine. Cold food by that point, but tasty nonetheless!
It's been a special day, I've missed the communal aspect of Christmas spent with our friends on the streets...but then we've probably all missed the communal element of Christmas this year.
The kids are now in bed, Danny and Stephen are home from handing out the last meals, we've had a late tea of baked camembert...and I'm now being forced to play boardgames with the boys, ha!
Happy Christmas lovely people, may you know Jesus closeness and love this festive season.

Today I'm grateful for;
1) The amount of people who invested in today's meal - so many people contributed food, money, time - blippers included! Thankyou!
2) Livestream silliness with the Claytons and Doc Spooner - all getting a phrase in - 'hello treacles'...
3) The joy on people's faces as they got a bag of loveliness...
