Take out Christmas

The kids were up at a very respectable 8am! We had such a lovely time opening gifts...we left the big surprise til the end - bikes!!! They were utterly delighted and shocked. Neither had asked for one though they're always on their lists...and thanks to generous gifts from grandparents we were able to invest! Despite never having ridden a peddle bike Nate got the hang of it in moments and was off and away! Mitch took the kids along the Port to road test their new wheels whilst Danny and I got on with cooking for the lunch.
By 1 all our helpers were here with a glass of bubbly in hand...as ever everyone was brilliant and we had a slick operation filling up each box.
Lunch was lovely, and although a few regular faces didn't make it, we had a lovely time. Nate spent the entire afternoon cycling round, and later the football came out and a few guys and Danny were running round and narrowly missing hitting the table with all the food and drinks.
A great day and a tiring day...not least because of all the clear up afterwards at home!
Happy Christmas to each of you!

Today I'm grateful for;
1) Such a lovely bunch of people to hang out with today - both homeless friends and those helping out.
2) Seeing the kids total delight at their new bikes.
3) Jesus!
