Picking The Right Day

After yesterday's glorious weather, we were back to bobbins weather today.  I was out for about 20 minutes this morning and everything sparkled with frost.  But after 20 minutes the gloom clouds arrived and stayed.

G's mum and her carer came to visit at lunchtime.  I was in my role as cook and so we had a variant of macaroni cheese with broccoli & cauliflower.  I also fry mushrooms and onions  as a layer to give a little umami oomph.

I think it was a success.  There was very little left and everyone had eaten a very generous second portion.  This always makes me happy.  I like cooking and I like it when people enjoy what I cook.
