……………........Barrel Donut


While out and about this morning we called into the Smoking Barrel for coffee and one of their delicious, and well known donuts. 

‘Rafaello’ consists of a white chocolate coconut filling, almond and a vanilla wafer. The other donut consists of Peanut Butter, salted caramel and Oreo. 


I have included a set of four photos in extra showing hail that remained in my garden today from yesterday’s hail storm. Small amounts still remain this evening.

Sadly, it is estimated millions of dollars of damage has been suffered by orchardists growing apples and kiwifruit, also hop growers. A number of commercial buildings suffered collapsed roofs and flooding through the sheer weight of the hail and rain, some so badly damaged the building has been condemned. As the days continue the damage will continue to be assessed.
