Consume more than you expend and you gain weight

Goal for week not achieved with gain of 1.4 pounds over the week
Starting weight (25 May 2018 = 273lb)
Today’s weight 195.4 lb which is1.8 pounds heavier than last Sunday
Average weigh last week = 192.0. Lb
Average weight this week = 193.4 lb
Weight gainover week is 1.4 lb
Note: I weigh every day first thing and calculate weight loss based on average weight for the week.

Week 35 lockdown and 15weeks home from hospital since discharge after stroke and it’s Christmas week. Sorry to report a weight gain over the week of 1.4 lb but it could have been much more. Christmas home alone is not good for your diet as you tend to cook too much, eat too much, have too many treats and too many empty calories.The effect of my Christmas Day overindulges was a gain of 4 pounds in weight from the day befor. The rain and gales yesterday did not help as I did not get out to burn of some of the calories so again my intake over expenditure was over my target for the day. This coming week I will have to be more active and ensure a calorie deficit each daay. I will also have to avoid overindulgences over Hogmanay and New Year’s Day since I do not want to consolidate the weight gain of this week. So my goal is a small loss or at worst a standstill

I also hope that the lockdown, the easing of it and the threat from the new variant of the COVID virus and Christmas overindulgenceis not having too much of a detrimental effect on your scales.
