Day 279 Boxing Day

Boxing Day has its origins in Victorian times when the rich boxed up gifts to give to the poor.  We opened the remainder of our own Christmas gifts here (we always save a few for this day)  while 6 million more people in S and SE England received the gift of going into tier 4 restrictions, currently our most stringent, from midnight last night.
Here we had a lazy day, with no formal meals.  We just helped ourselves as we felt like it as you can see from this glimpse of the dining table. No walk today as we're back to grey and miserable as Storm Bella makes her way towards us.
