Sewage

Last of the 3x a year checks of our organic septic tank. Used to be 2x a year until law changed again which guarantees the length of service the unit can be in operation but requires more checks and thus more money changing hands!

On the one hand it annoys me on the other it is further proof of how well the German/Bavarian & EU requirements are working to clean up our waterways. Our sewage after going through the various mechanical stages is let out into the stream passing our property. I have mentioned this several times in the past, we now have the situation in Lake Constance, Europe's 2nd largest lake, that the commercial fishermen are complaining the water is too clean - it is as good as drinking quality - and the fish population is shrinking from the lack of food entering the lake from sewage plants. They want some of the filters removed!
