The Devil's Blowhole

The surf was wild this morning, particularly at this point along the cliffs, the site of a long-forgotten wave-powered water pump. It was designed to force salt water up to a huge tank. From there the water would be transported by horse and wagon to water down the dirt streets of town to keep things tidy. What remains is a pipe that creates a fantastic display when the tides are right. It makes a sound like the snuffling of a giant horse.
