Bobotie!

A traditional South-African dish, made by Mum for my Auntie, Uncle and Cousins who have just moved here from South Africa! Mum is very thoughtful like that...she even made them a wee hot chocolate station with marshmallows and different flavours of dippers (they’ve inherited Granda’s sweet tooth too!)

It’s so special to have them living just around the corner from us now - they moved to SA when Shauna was just a baby, and Lily was born there. Now they’re 11 and 10 (and Shauna is taller than me!!)

I’m amazed by how positive they’ve all been - even when they arrived at the airport to discover the flights they bought didn’t exist. It’s been a tricky time to do such a big move across the world, but they are always thanking God for how well He has looked after them. I thought coming to a much colder climate would be a big adjustment for them...but Uncle Johan and Lily did the whole journey in a t-shirt and shorts, so maybe they’ll be okay!
