Sick Journey

I know it's very shallow and silly but I love all the "Fahrt" words.  And I know a few others who do too.

Last day at work for 2020 was easy.  A colleague and I worked through the last tricky thing we had to do and discovered something that can't have worked since it was implemented in 2008.  That was quite exciting.

There was also time for a supermarket visit - the timing was perfect, in and out in less than 30 minutes.  No queue at the meat counter or at the checkout.  You can't ask for better.

The Government here in Hessen has introduced new rules for New Year celebrations.  You're not allowed to buy alcohol after 7 pm tomorrow evening until 6 am on New Year's Day - good luck policing that.  There's also a ban on fireworks - you can't buy them.  However, if you have fireworks left over from last year, you can set them off in your garden but not on the street - I'm not sure I can grasp the difference other than you are unlikely to leave all the garbage behind if it's in your garden.  Good luck policing that too.

It is is such a relief to have 4 days off.
