The brave new world of decimal currency from 1971 with a few old coins from the pre-decimal world.

The halfpenny, the penny, the three-pence and the sixpence are all self explanatory.  A Florin was 2 shillings - 24 old pennies, a Half Crown was 2 shillings and sixpence (and a Crown was 5 shillings).  A pound was 20 shillings or 4 crown or 8 half-crowns or 240 pennies. 

The first thing I bought with a decimal coin (I was given a 2p piece) was a bar of Pink Panther chocolate, which was indeed pink.

Finished with work for the year, and I have next week off, I may wake up a week on Saturday.
