Grey Day

The old year is not going out in a blaze of glory here.   The sun never quite made it through the clouds and while I was out with Meg late in the afternoon, showers were loosing rain, sleet and snow inland, a top-up for the white blanket atop the hills.   As we headed away from town the last engineering train of the season rumbled under Ty Mawr bridge and passed us across the fields.   In normal times there would have been three round trips for passenger trains today ..... hoping we'll be back running a full service by the summer of next year.   Bring it on!   I think we'll all be glad to see the back of 2020.
