A gorgeous morning at Whitley Bay

It was one of those gorgeous winter mornings, with deep blue sky and little wind, so we went to Whitley Bay for a walk. We were glad we'd put our thermals on as the temperature was about 1C but we had a great time.

Far too many photos were taken, but in the end my favourite is this one of a redshank feeding. It looks best large.

I had intended to blip a Widwed photo as my main blip, but I liked the redshank so much I've demoted my Widwed photo to the extra (I hope Bobsblips doesn't mind!). As you can see, it's a low level fisheye shot which proves that the earth is round!!

I'm almost out of extras for this year so I've put a few more of today's photos into a Google album here, if you wish to take a look.
