This photo was taken on the coastal path from the centre of Funchal to the point opposite Cabo Girao. The flowers were stunning as ever

So was the grilled squid. My friend and my sister in law said they didn't like squid until they tried the simple, freshly caught little ones. And with garlic chips too of course.

Another glorious day. I'm not too battered and stiff after my tree planting, but I did catch the sun through my sun lotion at that height of 1800 metres.
