An ordinary life....

From our house to yours...

Almost the end of the most bizarre year ever.

This time last year we had absolutely no idea that 2020 was going to take such a dive.  Probably just as well.  And it's not letting go without wringing the last bit of drama as today turned a bit farcical.

I asked David if the steak pie looked good and he realised he'd forgotten to go to the Butcher to pick up our food order.  That led to a mad scramble out the door.  Thankfully the Butcher was still open!

Then he somehow managed to get his debit card blocked and had to go to Perth to find an RBS ATM to fix it.

Meanwhile I made my soup for tomorrow and D arrived back just as Ally came through to say Alan had developed a rash on his face.  It looked quite sore so that necessitated a call to our local health centre and one of the GP's called back.  D emailed him a photo of the rash and he confirmed our thoughts, that it's thrush.

Back out to the chemist to buy Canesten and forty minuted later another trip out to pick up our Dine at home meal from J&F.

Thankfully things have calmed down.

Dinner has been enjoyed and the plan is to chill for a while before freshening up in time to ring in the New Year.  The only problem is rather than getting dressed up, we both feel like putting our pjs on and welcoming the New Year in the most relaxed fashion ever!

Whatever we end up doing, I just want to wish you all a very Happy New Year.  I hope the coming 12 months will bring good health, happiness and a return to hugs for us all.

Stay safe, take care and see you on the other side :-))

Lang may yer lum reek!

”and good riddance to the last page torn from this scunnered year”
