Outside Rose's

A New Year dinner with three people would normally be considered a very quiet affair but this year it felt almost daring!  As with most arrangements to meet up these days this was a bit last-minute, but Jan and I had Christmas pudding, custard, stollen, and mince-pies, and Rose had a piece of organic lamb, and delightful carrots sautéd in butter. So together we could construct a delicious New-Year's dinner.
As we drove in to town snow flakes were coming down and the world looked rather beautiful against the dark night sky.
This is the street just outside Rose's house. A slightly festive note was added by the supermarket on the left which surrounded its carpark and property with a ring of outdoor candles.
This all looks like it's the middle of the night but it was actually an extremely quiet 4:50 in the evening!
The tree outside Rose's house (extra) was festively decorated by the weather in eminently suitable fashion!
