We all had a stunning, crisp walk this morning by the river, spotting a kingfisher in the sunshine just before it nipped off.  This snow was an unexpected treat this afternoon so I had to head off uphill to find the best of it.  Meeting our old neighbours for a bit of company on the way up was an extra fine surprise.
