Mirror, Mirror

This photo does not accurately reflect how miserable the weather actually was today. After various periods of snow, rain, and sleety drizzle, everything was basically covered with several inches of slush. During a break in the precipitation I made myself wander around the marsh and woods and was very pleased to come back and discover I had taken this photo. 

I also found a neat little bird's nest, rediscovered a very old and overgrown wire fence, and came across some distressingly large piles of scat.

By the time I was done my socks were wet and my jeans were soaked through up to the knees. But it was worth it, and now I've earned my hot chocolate!
