For Rainie

Another glorious day - severe frost and iciness to start with but the sun was blazing. A walk was required while we can - it will be grey enough soon and we may be further restricted how far we can wander. We set off west this time - walking the old green road down to Kilcrohane, stopping to first admire a spotted woodpecker (only just appearing in Ireland) and a hare bounding up over the mountain. Then turning left at the large holly bush, across the small ford  down to the road, across that and sharply downwards through the sheep and into Rossmore Cove. We lunched perched on a rock, admiring the fine view  including Lord Bandon's Folly - pears, cheese, oatcakes consumed. As we were munching the farmer swang by to check on said sheep and we had the chat. We ambled back up the winding road and I had to pop into the derelict farmhouse - the view was good but who can resist an old bit of net. Not me. Blipped before by me, Rainie too, possibly Gitama also. And jensphotos! In the days when we could travel freely.
