crumble and custard

Miss Eve was deeply appreciative of a bowl of apple crumble and custard. Zeke shunned the crumble but gladly polished off a bowl of custard. The last night of the holidays and the night before homeschooling starts once more.

Today I’m grateful for clarity about school’s plans for the next fortnight - even if I’m not thrilled at the prospect of homeschooling whilst working, I very much appreciate the dilemma our school faced (tier 4, schools should open but the main union has advised staff not to attend) and we’re in a privileged position of both being available to step up and try and understand KS2 maths (no guarantees we’ll actually understand it mind you). I’m also grateful for some deeply unhealthy treats and a long bath.
