Young ones

Picturemull's reference photo was of her daughter's shoes, one from her early childhood and one from her adulthood. Picturemull poses the question 'Where did the time go?' The answer is that it went into her daughter growing from babyhood to adulthood, while we grew older. Then it will be for her daughter's generation to raise the kids to adulthood, while they as parents grow older. It's the cycle of life.

Down to the wetlands today I went, where there's always some species having babies. Year after year we see families of swans, ducks and swamp hens nesting, laying eggs, hatching them and raising their chicks. And so it continues year after year. Except human babies hang around for a lot longer, which is good.

My main is of a swamp hen chick. It was with its adults who were feeding it and teaching it to forage for itself. The extra is the family group in all its irresistible colours.

Thanks for hosting Picturemull. Stay well all.
