I watched a great documentary on Amazon Prime called The Beckoning Silence. Remember the film Touching the Void? Well it's Joe Simpson's story and how his life has revolved around mountains, in particular the North Face of the Eiger. It's also the story of how the North Face was conquered after the heroic but failed attempt and death of four climbers.
