Lockdown 3.0 Day #1

Let’s hope this third lockdown is ‘third time lucky’ as even we are getting fed up with it all now.  

Today we have had our usual weekly trip to Tesco’s for top-up shopping, a quick drop-off at my parents and then back to rid the house of Christmas. I know most people have already taken down their decorations but we always wait for twelfth night for some reason. Anyway, they are now all stashed away again and the Christmas tree has been chopped into pieces to provide a pile for the bugs and one part of the trunk will eventually provide another perching post for the birds under the bird table. 
I’ve had another couple of hours watching the birds, which weren’t as numerous as they have been, but our special visitor, the lesser whitethroat put in a couple of appearances again. 
We did have a visit from a couple of pairs of collared doves who were nicely sharing food on the feeder, unlike the pigeons who just fight all the time! 

I’ve just been reading upon the latest lockdown rules and I’m really pleased to see that we can still drive locally to Spike Island for our daily exercise(it’s just under 4 miles away). Woo hoo!
