Starlings

A late afternoon walk round the Etton-Maxey Pits gave me a natural boost, with a large flock of Pochard on Milton Pit, wonderful light over mature hedgerow trees, sunset over the lakes and a brief starling murmuration. Today they flew low over my head - such a thrill to hear the thrum of their wingbeats. I may have taken some liberties with the processing - trying to distill the walk into a single image.

In the evening I finally completed the first draft of my last major report and sent it off - so glad I didn't have to face doing this on my birthday, tomorrow!
