Linton Station

Opened in 1865 by the Great Eastern Railway and closed in 1967 by British Railways.

Now we're locked down again and encouraged not to travel for walks it's going to be more plonking around the village, my project is to try and photograph something new each day... I'm slightly ashamed to admit that today was the first time I have been and looked at the old station, only lived in Linton for 30 years.

Back in the 1860s they certainly built well... the extra is the waiting room on the other side of the track bed.

Our revered prime minister has just given a press conference to let us know just how serious things are... it seems that at last he's woken up to facts we've all been aware of for some time.
