Gifts from the Orient

What have Japan and the international space station in common?

Well, among the unexpected Christmas gifts from friends in Japan is a tin of grilled chicken (see extra photo), which they say is popular on the space station.

Our friends had heard of Brexit, Corvid and delays in our ports so they sent us a food package.

Of course I blame that headline in the New York Times labelling Britain “ Plague Island”.

Meanwhile we tuck into our unexpected gifts from the Orient.
