Union Canal

It was a great winter’s day today with sun from dawn to dusk after a hard overnight frost. We decided to walk to Wester Craiglockhart Hill to see the view. To say the ascent from the west was pleasant would be a lie; there was a lot of ice that made progress difficult. However the views were good and it was reasonably warm in the sun as there was no wind. We then came down to the canal and walked home for a late lunch. The light was particularly good as we passed Polwarth Kirk and I thought should be today’s blip.

Best on black.
