Life Savors

Surf's Up!

We ventured out his morning to the southern end of the island which is a very popular location for surfers.  There were at least two dozen surfers, very rough surf and cold temperatures with a wind chill of 32 degrees (that's 0 degrees celsius)!  I can't imagine how they tolerated the water, even with their wet suits as their faces were completely exposed.

We had all really bundled up for this so we spent an exhilarating time walking the beach and watching the surfers.  Our little granddaughter was pretty tired when we got her home.

We spent the afternoon and this evening absolutely horrified at was has transpired in D.C. today.  Our democracy has been so damaged, I hope we can recover.  These events really pushed aside the good news out of Georgia that the democrats have retaken control of the U.S. Senate.  At least we know that in two weeks there is a chance that things will actually get done once again.
