13th Night.......

I always hate the end of the Christmas season - and inevitably suffer from the January blues. Today is bleak; this morning’s sunshine has long gone, and the persistent rain means walking is hardly a tempting escape from the dreariness. Both national and international news is grim, and the final sort-out of my remaining festive decorations seems unlikely to lift my mood. But these three little items are all gifts from a friend, lovingly made with thought and care. The origami star, for example, is made from a map of the beautiful Scottish island of Islay we have happy memories of exploring and - of course - whisky drinking! It’s a gentle reminder of happier times that will hopefully return.
