Friendly Sheep

A very cold day. The patterns of lockdown seem to be returning with more people out walking passing our house and on the trail, which can get very busy. However, we didn't pass anyone on our early morning walk as dawn broke. This afternoon the sheep wanted to make friends following across the field or perhaps they thought we might have brought them some food. Stanley ignored them totally.
Spent time in the garden this morning with prospective contractors for installing the base for our new green house and replacing the rotting fence. Looks very hopeful and they say they can deliver to our timescale in the next few weeks. 
We have been very unsettled by events in America. It is not surprising as Trump has been inciting this situation for more than 5 years. It shows how fragile democracy can be and how tolerating the unacceptable for whatever reason can be very dangerous. I worry about parallels that can be made with the UK.
