In tandem

A beautiful cold crisp day. Snow and ice on the ground. No wind. Just finger tingling cold. It barely scraped above 0oC.

I was outside photographing walkers on the summit of Arthur’s Seat from our garden. It must be just over 2 miles as the crow flies from our house. The air was so clear - and despite the cold my hands steady enough - I could capture people on the summit. See extra.

I then heard an airplane sound overhead which has once again become a rare occurrence.

Looking up I saw 2 jets flying in tandem. I tried to zoom in on them - see other extra - but my knowledge of planes is not great. They looked military: Tornadoes?

In any event they formed a graceful arc in the sky.
