I have to admit...I took this last night while walking around a mostly deserted downtown with W. Fifty-some years ago a building was about to be razed for parking when an intact log cabin was discovered beneath its modern facade. This turned out to be the 18th c. silversmith’s shop of Stephen Donaldson. Now it’s part of the Loudoun Museum.

A quiet day; W. went in to his office, and I worked at home. During a class break, daughter I. helped me carry out the Christmas tree, which we’d undecorated a couple days ago, and pitch it like a battering ram into the woods. The critters there will make use of it.
Have a good weekend, folks!
