Life through the lens...

Rolling in the snow.

Often wondered why dogs love rolling in snow.
Our Springer loved it and here is Dexter, next door, really enjoying himself.

A lovely sunny day after a very hard frost last night.
Unfortunately it clouded over as we set off for our walk.
Again very icy underfoot. Not quite so slippery with the snow on top.

We picked up a Yorkshire Post on the way round, and a couple of dark chocolate Bounty Bars to eat on the way home.

More people out and about this morning. Quite a few families with young children pulling sledges. Everyone very courteous except for a group of 6 twenty year olds. Who were all walking together across the moor. No social distancing, and were certainly not going to stand aside for us.
Gave them a wide birth.
It’s the first time we have experienced anything like this round our village. No idea where they came from.

I have put an extra collage up of some photos taken on our walk.

After a night off, it is back to cooking.
Tonight as well as the rhubarb and orange pie, I have made another of our winter favourites,
Daube aux Olives. A recipe from Nyons, Provence.
We will be opening a bottle of Les Cardinaux, Cotes du Rhone Togo with it.
Parfait!
