The latest lockdown means longer distance walks are on hold. This might look like a nice sunny day in summer but it is close to freezing and there is a layer of ice on the water. This was once called the Albert Edward Dock and was full of ships bringing pit props in or taking coal out. It later became the base for the Fred Olsen Line and took passengers arriving by train from London on the ferries to Norway.
