A Bowl from Fes

Which the photograph reveals to be rather grubby with an errant paperclip.

Inspired by Kevin Maskell and his Flowers in Ice presentation the other week, I bought the stand he recommended. It's useful for small things but a tripod is to be preferred.

The bowl was made in Fes, Morocco. It's enamel with inlaid silver filigree work. Not that you would have noticed, but Lyra Silvertongue washed her face and hands in a bowl like this in the last series of His Dark Materials.
