Bugs

Not as wet today, though still a bit chilly and damp. We decided to take another walk, this time up to an old chimney and mine shaft (all very safely cordoned off). It was pretty impressive and very interesting to read about the processes. We marvelled at the effort it must have taken to get everything to where it needed to be, without modern transport and machinery..

A little later, on another track, heading to look at an old mining village, we saw a snake whip into the undergrowth next to the track we were walking on. A bit too close for comfort!

We went on to the intriguingly named 'Jericho', where an entire town, with about 40-50 shops and other businesses has flourished. Not much to show for it now, but a lovely, peaceful place, so full of history.

These are some bugs I spotted around our campsite. The extra shows a really fuzzy flying bug. No idea what they are, but they posed nicely for me.
