Arrivederci Roma! It's been great!

Day Four

It's my last day in Rome but there was still enough time to fit in some last minute sightseeing.

But first of all we had to navigate our way around some surly Italian officials, again. Problems with buying tickets on the Metro, led to request for a help from the Metro officials but as they were watching tv it was difficult to get any help. But as we kept asking for help, one of them finally got up and threw a strop to help us, funnily enough the machine didn't work for him either which you had to chuckle about. Walking to the museum we bumped into another one who tried to get us to sign some petition, when we said no he just turned his back on us and cursed. We later found out from some on the plane, that if we had sign it would have cost us 10 Euros. A lucky escape!

The Museum was full of ancient Roman history, statues and artefacts, and was based in the old baths of Diocletian which were the grandest baths in ancient Roman. As in the previous days we didn't have the time to take all of it in, but it was a beautiful setting.

So this is it, time to say goodbye to Rome. It has been a truly wonderful and magical experience! I'd love to return and sample more of your city.

One final experience was the opportunity to enjoy the wacky races again, never again will I complain about the M4. Well maybe not until later this week as I return to work. Lol!
