Ramblings and Mutterings

We came, we saw, we conquered

Day Three

After missing out on the tour of the inside of the Coliseum on Thursday, we returned this morning and it didn't disappoint. The only downside by this time was that it had started to rain quite heavily and we were getting soaked as we walked around it, luckily in the outer ring it has a museum which is undercover so it allowed us to find about more of the history of the place.

Looking like drowned rats we made our way back to the hotel to get ready for the big game, Italy v Wales in the Six Nations 2013 Championship!

Wales thankfully won 26-9 with tries from Jonathan Davies and Alex Cuthbert, and a man of the match performance from Leigh Halfpenny. The game itself was dreadful, admittedly not helped by the torrential rain, but full of mistakes and no continuity. Nevertheless a win is a win, and we still potentially could win the Championship with the Scots next and then in the final match of the championship, Grand Slam chasing England. Hopefully we'll see better quality games than I saw today.

With the game offering very little entertainment, thankfully a band, sponsored by a well-known alcoholic beverage, were able to keep the crowd entertained. Trouble is I can't get their signature tune out of my head now! Da da da da da da. Lol!
