Cultural Differences - An Ongoing Series

It's one of those things.  If I make soup (as I'm doing here*),  I always use my food processor to deal with the veg - before I bought the food processor I used to grate everything.  Give G the job and she will "schnippeln" everything**.

This means to dice things.  Very small dice.  

I'm not sure if it is a family thing or a Hessen thing or a Germany-wide thing.

I was on the phone today for hours.  Again.  Looking forward to an evening of not speaking very much.

*parsnips, carrots, onions and lentils have been cooked with something that is almost a gammon

** Grammar crisis "sie wird alles schnippeln".  It just looks wrong to write what I have there.
