Vertically growing courgette

For a number of years I've wanted to try growing a courgette up a stake. I knew it could be done and having got this far I'll do it again next season.

My reasons for growing it vertically are to:
- save space.
- remove redundant leaves more easily and direct the plant's energy into growing courgettes.
- keep the fruit off the soil.

It's growing and producing well.

Today I've achieved more than I planned or expected to on my book project. I enjoyed every minute I worked on it and got the balance right for my brain.
